Cookie Policy

The Reteller uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and nothing is shared with advertisers. That's why you don't see a cookie banner: the law doesn't require consent for storage that is strictly necessary for a service you asked for — but you have the right to know what it is.

Cookies

NameWhat it doesHow long
better-auth.session_tokenKeeps you signed in.Until you sign out or the session expires
better-auth.session_dataA short-lived copy of your sign-in, so pages load faster.5 minutes
oauth_stateSecurity check while you sign in with Google.A few minutes

On the live site these names may start with __Secure-, which means they are only sent over an encrypted connection.

Browser storage

Some small items are kept in your browser's local storage — they never leave your device except as part of using the site:

NameWhat it does
progress:<book>Where you stopped reading a book, so "Continue reading" takes you to the exact spot.
tz-syncedRemembers that your time zone was already sent, so your reading day starts at the right local time.

Payments

When you open the checkout to subscribe, our reseller Paddle loads its checkout, which may set its own cookies for payment and fraud prevention. See Paddle's privacy notice. Nothing from Paddle is loaded on other pages.

Fonts and other content

Fonts are served from our own site, not from Google or another provider, and we embed no social-media widgets or videos.

Your choices

You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. If you block them, you won't be able to stay signed in, and "Continue reading" will rely only on the position saved in your account.

Changes

If we ever add anything that isn't strictly necessary (for example analytics), we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
