Forbidden Love

“In a waterside mansion on the Bosphorus, Adnan Bey, a rich widower, marries the young and beautiful Bihter, daughter of the vain Firdevs Hanım. His daughter Nihal loses her father's whole heart; the household is upturned; and Bihter, bored and empty, turns to Adnan's charming, careless nephew Behlül. The forbidden love is watched in silence by a servant, Beşir, until the night it is discovered.”
