The Epic of Gilgamesh

“The oldest great story in the world: Gilgamesh, the restless, overbearing king of Uruk, finds a friend in the wild man Enkidu; together they kill the guardian of the Cedar Forest and the Bull of Heaven — and when Enkidu dies, Gilgamesh sets out across the edge of the world to find the one man who escaped death.”
